We all know the importance of physical exercise for those of us with sedentary jobs :)

For that reason, and also to pay tribute to the patron saint of translators, St Jerome, STAR Servicios Lingüísticos will celebrate International Translation Day on 30 September by climbing Sant Jeroni, Montserrat's highest point.

If you would like to take part, either to get to know or to see the members of our team again, to chat with other translators, project managers, localisers, engineers and other interesting people, as well as to enjoy a day in nature, register and accept the terms and conditions of participation.

Programme

09:00 - The first meeting point is at the Montserrat Aeri (cable car) station or at the Monistrol de Montserrat (rack railway) station (the latter is recommended for those that suffer from vertigo).

10:00 - The second meeting point is at St Michael's Cross, which is located right next to the rack railway arrival point at Montserrat Monastery.

10:00 - 10:20 - Start of the walk.

10:20 - 12:00 - We estimate that it will take around 1 hour and 40 minutes to reach the summit, where the Sant Jeroni viewpoint is located. 

12:00 - Arrival at the summit. Meeting at the Sant Jeroni viewpoint to admire the views and celebrate having reached the top!

12:30 - Descent to Montserrat Monastery.

14:00 - 14:30 - Arrival at Montserrat Monastery and end of the walk.

There are no activities scheduled for after the walk. We recommend that you bring a sandwich to eat when we reach the monastery at the end of the walk in order to then be able to continue enjoying the different options the mountain offers: visiting the Holy Cave of Montserrat, going down by foot to Monistrol, going for a swim in Monistrol's municipal pool (if it's still open) or going back to Barcelona and meeting for a drink to round off the day.
